Terms of Service

By accessing or using YapIt ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

• Beta access is granted through our waitlist program
• We may limit, suspend, or modify features during the beta period
• Feedback provided during beta may be used to improve the Service
• Beta users may receive special pricing or benefits when we launch publicly

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service
• One person or entity may not maintain more than one account
• You are responsible for all content generated through your account

You agree not to use YapIt to:

• Generate illegal, harmful, threatening, or harassing content
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others
• Transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Circumvent usage limits or abuse the free tier
• Resell or redistribute the Service without our written consent

You retain ownership of all voice recordings, transcriptions, and formatted content you create using YapIt. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

We do not claim any intellectual property rights over the content you generate. Your yaps are yours.

• Free tier users receive a limited number of yaps per month
• Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Polar.sh
• You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any downtime or service interruptions.

The YapIt name, logo, design elements, and underlying technology are owned by YapIt and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, YapIt and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may request export of your data before account deletion.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of YapIt after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
